Journal Days 61-66

Day 61 Results

Today is Friday and there are only five more days to go before this challenge is over.    I've learned a lot during this time.   It's pretty incredible what you can accomplish in two months when you really put your attention into each day.   I think that was the major difference.   Before I would wake up and complete a day, and sometimes many days would go by and I wouldn't really remember what happened.  I was alive, but I wasn't actively living each moment.   When you decide to take on an intentional program, you make yourself lock onto every single day and make sense out of it.   If you do that, you make progress faster, because you don't take breaks and get off track.

Day 62 Results

This is the last weekend before the challenge is done.   I'm happy with how this whole thing turned out.   Since I put stress and attention on my problem areas, it was like I put a chaperone in place that works diligently to watch over me and set me straight when I get out of line.  I understand why people talk about creating support groups when you are trying to overcome a difficult situation.   I had one of those as well, but my friends and family can't always read my mind.   Having accountability within a program gave me an extra level of defense.  I appreciate it.

Day 63 Results

Doing this challenge showed me some things that I wouldn't have thought would happen.   When you block out all of the bad, you can see the good and do wise things with the good when the good shows up.  When you're battling yourself, you get cluttered, and you miss things.   This challenge helped me to identify areas that I could improve in.  I wasn't expecting that, but it worked out that way.

Day 64 Results

Today was Labor day.   During the last two weeks I've been really applying myself and working hard.   Even though I don't report into an employer, I still worked a ton of hours this week doing surveys and managing my time effectively.  I ended up making $150.00 over the last two weeks, and the house wasn't expecting it.   Very very cool.   It really changes your perspective, when you do something like this.   When I started working full time I always had to hand off everything to keep my basic house running.   Getting less money that I don't actually need, is completely free, and it gives you so many options.  You can give it to those that need it.   You can save up for something you've dreamed about.   You can invest it.   It doesn't matter.   It's clean, and it's full of possibility.

Day 65 Results

Today is my kid's first day of school.  I thank the stars I worked to change things during the summer months.   I have a ton of stuff to pay attention to, but it's school related, not finance related.  This is going to be a great gift to my kids.   I'll be able to focus on what matters, and move forward without the worry.   Trying to multitask would have been extremely hard, and I think people would have suffered.   Sometimes it's not about you.

Day 66 Results

I did it!  I managed to keep straight for two solid months.  It can be done.   It wasn't always easy.   Some days were down right hard, and I hated having to control myself, but then it kind of just started working out, and I got tired of fighting myself.  I began to enjoy the ride, even though I didn't know where I was heading at first.  It was like I woke up early in the dark, took a trip, was made, and then sun came out and I saw how pretty things were when I stopped getting angry and began looking around.   I highly recommend you try a sixty six day challenge.   The ride takes effort, but the destination feels good, and there is something awesome about earning something instead of just trying to get it for free.   You grow, and you get to experience new things.   Good luck.
